For more than 30 years, Dr. Bill Graybill has counseled, mentored, and coached men and women from all backgrounds to reach their greatest potential -- spiritually, emotionally, and in the work place.
"Nothing energizes me more than to see someone accomplish great things with their life," says Bill, author of a textbook on personality types.
As a young man, Bill bounced from job to job, with no goals or direction for his life. Then, an encounter with Jesus Christ changed his life radically, and ignited a passion for helping others grow in their spiritual walk.
Since that time, Bill has helped many staff pastors advance in their roles in the church and coached countless young adults into ministry opportunities.
Bill holds three degrees, including a doctor of ministry from Northwest Graduate School of Ministry in Redmond, Wash., where he specialized in leadership and conflict management. In addition, he has completed the Institute for Christian Conciliation’s Conciliator Training Program, sponsored by Peacemaker Ministries, and is a certified life coach through CoachNet International Ministries.
An avid traveler, Bill has taught conflict management cross-culturally. He’s a member of the Christian Coaches Network, which requires strict adherence to a code of professional ethics.
"For serious fun, I climb," says Bill, who enjoys chalking up for a spirited rock climb. "Climbing has taught me the necessity of intense focus, critical analyses, and the courage to make the next move. What is true on the rock face is true in life: You can make it to the next level, but it sure helps when you’ve got a coach who knows the way."
Bill and his wife, Dorothy, live in Albany, Oregon, with “Buddy” the golden retriever. They have two married sons, Mark and Dan. Bill pastors Abundant Life Center and also serves as president on the board of Youth Connect, a nonprofit organization that provides after-school programs for middle school students.
